Helping Students with disabilities prepare for college and careers in Massachusetts
We support professionals, educators, schools, and inclusive college programs through training, resources, and technical assistance.
At the Massachusetts Center for Inclusive Higher Education and Transition, we are dedicated to expanding access to college and careers and strengthening transition services for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Massachusetts. Our experienced team is recognized for advancing inclusive practices — and for providing the training, technical assistance, and resources that make them possible.
We collaborate with schools, universities, disability services providers, and families to build clear pathways from high school to college, employment, and independence. Through customized support and problem-solving, we help communities create programs that reflect shared goals, strengthen transition services, and expand opportunities for students.
Our leadership extends across Massachusetts through major initiatives: the UMass Boston Transition Leadership Program (TLP), which prepares professionals for the transition specialist credential, and Massachusetts Inclusive Postsecondary Education (MAIPSE), which improves and expands college-based transition services statewide.
